Lawn Care in Kippax

Looking after lawns, the right way.

A mature lawn I look after through the season, with a willow at the bottom of the garden.

I'm Cam — I live just up the road in Great Preston, and Kippax is one of the villages I look after week in, week out.

Kippax is an old village, and it shows in its gardens. Alongside the newer estates you've got lawns that have been down for decades — bigger, settled, often with mature trees throwing shade across them. Lawns like that have their own character: thatch built up over the years, moss creeping in under the trees, a thin patch or two where the sun never quite reaches. They don't need rescuing — they need someone who knows how to keep them right.

That's what I do. Regular cutting, edges done right, and seasonal feeding to keep the grass thick and holding its colour through the dry spells — all natural methods, no harsh chemicals. These are the kind of gardens that reward steady, regular care rather than a quick tidy-up.

Autumn lawn renovation. Once the mowing eases off, I take on a limited number of full renovations each September — scarify, aerate, top dress and overseed, done as one job while the soil's still warm. More on lawn renovation →

Hedges, borders and garden work. More than just the mowing — hedge trimming, shrub pruning and border tidying, mostly through the cooler months. More on hedges and garden work →

Because it's just me, you get the same person every visit — someone who gets to know your lawn and how it changes through the year.

I cut and feed lawns across Kippax and the surrounding villages. If you'd like yours looked after, drop me a message below and I'll get back to you.

From a Kippax customer

Cam has done a brilliant job cutting my lawns today. Prompt arrival, friendly professional service. Garden looks amazing. Highly recommended. I've finally found a good gardener.

Common questions

How often should a lawn be cut in summer?

I'm on most regular lawns fortnightly through the main growing months, with some cut weekly. I let growth lead the timing rather than the calendar — a hot, dry spell slows things down; a wet, warm week speeds them up.

Do you use weedkillers?

No. I work with natural methods and no harsh chemicals — weeds get dealt with by hand as part of the regular round.

How much does regular lawn care cost?

Regular lawn care starts at £25 a visit on a small lawn, £35 on a medium, and £55 on a large — the whole property per visit, same price every time. Seasonal work is priced separately depending on what the lawn needs.

Which areas do you cover?

I cover Garforth, Kippax, Allerton Bywater and Great Preston, with a few lawns in Woodlesford. It's a small round on purpose, so I can do the whole job properly rather than rushing.
